World Wide Technology is a tech provider based in St. Louis. I work as a Content Marketing Manager to provide graphic design support and manage content on our website platform. Our company uses a custom-built content management system, so a large part of my work consists of building and formatting pages on our website using our custom tool; I have worked on over 500 pages of original content on our platform.
The goal of the graphic design support I provide is to make sure our company materials align with our corporate design guidelines, whether that be creating a set of ads, formatting whitepapers, or editing powerpoints. I also create custom graphics that we use on our website, and provide miscellaneous design support wherever is needed.
The gradient blue icons (below) were some of the first graphics I created. They were built to be used across the platform and marketing materials. The purpose is to graphically represent our technology solutions visually.
Many of our graphics are used alongside articles and case studies to provide visuals to the content. For instance, one of WWT's capabilities is providing cloud technology solutions to customers, so these graphics include imagery that reflects that.
Another common use of graphics for WWT is to help visualize and simplify complex technology solutions. Below is an example of how I used design to better visualize the differences between network models (it's better than an Excel spreadsheet at any rate).
